PCYC Regatta Committee

Tall Ship Eagle, Flying Juniors, Lasers, windsurfers, J-24s, J-22s, Luders 44 yawl.  Raced Annapolis Newport in 1979 as navigator, won our class.  Over the years sailed raced on Weds Nights in Marion MA, Groton CT, Ketchikan AK, and here in Salem Sound  Jubilee Thursday Nights (about 15 years aboard VINGA). Have chartered in Bahamas, San Juan Islands (Pacific Northwest) and most recently in Croatia.  Love the Wee Lass, and I think of Bill Callahan every time I'm aboard.  Small, but quick.  Simple to single hand.  Sleeps 4 (uncomfortably), kneeling head room.  It's perfect.  For me, any day with a boat ride is a good day!  Let's go sailing.

Member for 52 years. Learned to sail a Widgeon at the club . Crewed/raced with club members mostly on Bonnie Lassie-Cal 9.2 and did multiple Figawi/MV Cup Regatta's on Facet-Bristol 35.5. Only offshore once to deliver a Tartan 37 Bermuda to Chatham.

Boat-less now but have owned 7 sailboats. Most notable, we began racing/sailing our Catalina 25, J/22, Merit 25 and finally our Cal 28 Mustang Sally 2005-2022.

For 17 seasons we PHRF raced, day sailed and cruised locally. Wife Barbara and son Aaron best crew ever.

Regatta Committee for many years hosting 11 Bowditch Regatta’s plus multiple Windjammer events at the club.

Since 2023 I have been a Launch Driver at PCYC.

Lloyd has raced crew on Facet and NonParelle off and on since joining PCYC.  Also captained pursuit races on Current Divider, Contest 35 for years.  Also crew for Bermuda return on Toujours Tartan 37.  Now Lloyd has switched to power, and runs the committee boat for PCYC races.

Grew up in Marblehead learning to sail through community sailing, raced dinghies in high school as well as in college, raced offshore in college in Navy 44's, J105's, One Marion to Bermuda race and many boat deliveries
